A place made for people
The LoLo House is a cafe, coworking space and gathering place in the heart of Al Quoz, Dubai.
We wanted to create a place that felt a little different.
Somewhere you could start the day with breakfast, settle in with your laptop, meet a friend for coffee, bring your team together or celebrate something special, all under one roof.
A place that feels welcoming whether you're here for ten minutes or the whole day.
It started with a warehouse
In 2023, Lodewijk and his wife Florien were looking for a new warehouse for Florien’s bicycle brand, Adam Bike.
They found an empty warehouse in Al Quoz. It was bigger than they needed for bicycles and that's when the ideas started.
What if it could become more?
Lodewijk imagined a place where people could come together for a good coffee, catch up on work, enjoy lunch with friends or gather for an event. With three children of their own, Lodewijk and Florien also wanted to create a space where family life and work could naturally exist side by side.
From warehouse to living room
Neither Lodewijk nor Florien came from a traditional F&B background. What they did have was a passion for hospitality, design and creating spaces where people feel welcome.
They started imagining every detail of the warehouse: cosy reading corners, high tables, a generous coffee bar and flexible meeting rooms for workshops and events.
European-style furniture, warm details and a relaxed living-room feeling became the foundation for The LoLo House.
Every corner was designed with the same idea in mind: make people feel at home.
Five months later...
There were plenty of things to figure out along the way. From licences and renovations to building the team, designing furniture and deciding what coffee would fill the cups.
Five months of renovating, planning and bringing ideas to life later, The LoLo House opened its doors.
And what started as a search for a bicycle warehouse became something much bigger:
a place to eat, work and gather.
